PREZ SEZ

Happy New Year to all in South Fla Studedom.  

The years are slipping by faster and faster and the Studes are getting rustier and rustier, just like their owners. 

I want to thank Tony and Christy for letting us use their Sky room for our Christmas Party. The oceanview and the people there made for a wonderful afternoon. I also want to thank Hank and Karen for coordinating the food. It was delicious. We are blessed to have such nice people in our little club. 

As always I have been working on the cars. The 53 had a fuel delivery problem. I made my own pick up tube in the tank by going through the fuel gauge sending unit and by-passing the original pick up. That and a new electric pump may fix it ? I hope. 

I took my Champ Pick up to the Abacoa car show and cruise, and the grandkids got to ride in the bed during the cruise. It was a little cool that night but they still had fun. By the way, starting in February they are going to charge $5 per show car. The City does not sponsor the show any longer so the local club has to pay the liability insurance. There was no live band like before. Another victim of the economy.  

Don’t forget Old Town on March 13, 2010. This time we have it in writing that we will be the featured cars and will lead the cruise. We will also have a social meeting with snacks and drinks that we will provide. I will need some club members to help out with that, and just there to be social. This Old Town Show is a big show and they get Studes from all over the State.
